Quickstart

VetNotes can fill in your existing note templates, with some minor changes.
This allows you to be more specific about the information VetNotes should include, leading to better results.

  • More control - more specific templates give you better control over what content is included.
  • More consistent - VetNotes will write in your format every time, for easier review and visual scanning.
  • More accurate - the default VetNotes format is a good start. However, by telling VetNotes exactly what info to include, you will see higher accuracy and specificity in notes.

Navigate to the templates page and click + Create template.

Insert your existing template, or write one from scratch. Eg:

Ears:
Nose:
Weight:
Treatment:
  • VetNotes needs to know what information it should fill in and where to put it.
  • This is easy - just insert brackets, with a short explanation of what info should go there.
  • Describe in simple and direct language.
Ears:[observations about ears]
Nose: [observations about the nose]
Weight: [weight of the animal, number only]
Treatment Plan: [treatment plan for the animal, in dot points]

You can put whatever you’d like in the brackets, just write it in natural language. Simply explain to VetNotes what you’d like written in that area.
